Parent's Day Out & Preschool
The Wolfforth United Methodist Church Parent’s Day Out & Preschool program is a non-profit Christian outreach organization of Wolfforth United Methodist Church to the community in the area of early childhood education for infants ages 3 months through 4-year-old preschoolers. Emphasis is placed on Christian love and development and growth of young children spiritually, physically, academically, socially, and creatively.

2010-2011 Schedules
- PDO & Preschool classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- School will begin Tuesday, September 7, 2010 and will dismiss Thursday, May 26, 2011.
- PDO & Preschool follows Frenship ISD's calendar for all holidays and school closings.

2010-2011 Fees
- The Registration Fee for Infants through 2-year-olds is $50 per school year.
- The Registration Fee for 3- and 4-year-old preschoolers is $60 per school year.
- Supply fees for all students are $15 per semester.
- Tuition for all students is $120 per month.
- Registration and Supply Fees are nonrefundable.

A Typical Day
A day at WUMC PDO & PRESCHOOL is filled with a variety of activities, all designed to provide children with the sensory experiences that are the building blocks of their development. Touching, seeing, smelling, hearing, and tasting are the channels for preschool children to begin exploring their world.
Each child will participate in multiple activities daily, with a supportive teacher nearby. The teacher answers questions, offers thoughtful observations, and encourages learning, all in keeping with each child’s level of development, interest, ability, and needs. For preschool children, play is serious work.
In our 3- and 4-year-old preschool classes, children are taught basic fundamentals of reading such as phonemic awareness and letter-sound recognition. They also focus on basic mathematic skills such as sorting, patterns, shapes, and number recognition. Our preschool teachers are certified by the state of Texas and are eager to prepare the children for kindergarten.

What Children Need to Bring
The following items are needed each day, and will be sent home with the children each day. All items must be labeled.
- Large backpack
- Nap mat for two, three, and 4-year-olds
- Change of clothes
- Two beverages (one for snack and one for lunch)
- Snack & Lunch: Parents are responsible for providing a morning snack and lunch for their children. Please note that there may be some restrictions on foods due to allergies.
